Filmatic Maintenance Technician
Job Description
A well leading FMCG organisation is seeking a suitably qualified and Flimatic Maintenance Technician to service customer units. This is for a service-oriented department and you will therefore be interacting with many people. You will be responsible for troubleshooting faults and ensuring customer units are repaired and functioning properly.
1. Install, maintain and repair all Filmatic machines, including rotary fillers and high-speed shrink wrappers
2. Respond quickly to mechanical and electrical faults using Root Cause
3. Analysis to prevent recurrence.
4. Perform daily pre-start machine inspections to ensure calibration and operational readiness.
5. Coordinate with the Supervisor to execute daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance schedules.
6. Prioritize critical tasks with the Supervisor and provide daily progress updates on all work.
7. Identify and request necessary spare parts early to avoid production delays caused by shortages
8. Suggest and implement cost-saving measures and modifications to improve machine efficiency.
9. Comply with all SHEQ standards to maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free workspace
10. Adhere to safety health environment and quality systems
