CAT140G MOTOR GRADDER

The inspection of the CAT 140G Motor Grader revealed that the machine is in fair, serviceable condition, suitable for ongoing operations in road maintenance and light-to-medium grading tasks.
The engine (CAT 3306) is in good condition, having been overhauled recently with low operating hours since rebuild. The transmission and drivetrain are performing well, with smooth gear shifts and no major faults.
However, several moderate issues were identified, including:
• Hydraulic leaks and reduced efficiency under load
• Wear in circle, drawbar, and blade linkage components
• Tyre wear (±50% remaining life)
• Electrical insulation wear and weak lighting
• Safety concerns such as a non-functional seatbelt and unserviced fire extinguisher
No critical failures were found, but maintenance intervention is required to prevent reliability deterioration and to improve safety compliance and resale value.
